Hey everyone, I'm running the Providence Marathon on May 2nd and have a couple of BIG goals!
1. Run fast enough to qualify for the Boson Marathon! I've worked super hard these last few months and am on track!
2. Raise $2,500 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region, an organization I hold close to my heart for so many reasons.
Many of you already know our story, but for those who don't, Essence and I were matched in 2009 when she was 9 years old. We became alumnae the day she graduated from high school! Our story is a simple one - two people from two different backgrounds seeing the value in connecting and learning from one another. I will forever be grateful for the gift of this relationship and how I grew because of it.
After a year like 2020, I think we all want to do more in some capacity. The littlest things can have the biggest impact. Please consider supporting my furndraising efforts so that more little brothers and sisters can be matched with bigs this year.
FOR FUN - if you want to guess my marathon time when you make your donation, and you come closest, I'll personally donate the equivalent of 10% of my funds raised to the charity of your choice, in your name. (If I hit my goal of $2,500 and you are closes to my finish time, I'll donate $250 in your name to your charity). Please play!
